LATROBE TASMANIA - where the blend of heritage and hospitality sets us apart

Bass Strait is the stretch of water which separates our beautiful island of Tasmania from the rest of Australia. This affords the traveller several ways to arrive at your destination here in Tasmania's North West.

Spirit of Tasmania I and II offer the option of an overnight or day sailings between Melbourne and Devonport seven days a week, year round, with additional services in peak periods. This allows you to also bring your vehicle with you.

For those choosing to travel by air, Qantaslink, Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Tiger Airways operate frequent services to Tasmania, with the option of either the Devonport and Burnie Airports getting you direct to the North West Coast of Tasmania.

Devonport Airport is 10 minutes from Latrobe with a bus service meeting all flights.

Burnie Airport is 45 minutes from Latrobe; Launceston Airport is an hour's drive away while Hobart Airport is three hours away. You will need to organise your own transport to Latrobe from these locations.
